What do art museums, photography contests, and finger paintings have in common?
Creators – the people who brought into existence the piece on display. It’s pretty straightforward.
You’ll never hear someone looking at the child’s finger painting display asking, “Isn’t this amazing? I wonder how this got here?” And then offering every possible theory as to how, other than the fact that a child dipped his hand in paint and smeared it on the paper.
“The Big Bang, remember? Everything just kind of boomed into existence.”
No, you won’t hear that at an art display. People are too smart for that and too respectful of the creators, the artists. The very fact that the bronze sculpture of the stallion rearing on its hind legs exists proves an artist created it.
The painting isn’t merely evidence of the artist. The painting proves the existence of the artist. To say otherwise would be ridiculous, and an insult to the artist. There’s no excuse for it. Only a fool would say such a thing. Whatever art has been created is proof of the artist.
This ironclad logic is the daily experience of every sane human on earth for every aspect of life, so why, when it comes to the art everywhere around us – to nature – do people jettison what they know (art = Artist) and embrace any idea but the Artist?
“Creator? God? No, of course not! Remember, I told you, it all just boomed into existence!”
How long will the Artist endure insults?
“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, (even) his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” Romans 1:20
All God asks is that you believe what you see. Look at the art. It will tell you a lot about the Artist.
The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” Psalm 53:1
So, don’t look at the art, the Creation, and say there’s no Artist/Creator. You’re too intelligent for that.
