Corona Virus – Shelter In Place … How to Keep Troubled, Uncertain Times from Damaging Your Marriage

The Corona virus – it’s all the world is talking about, these days. How are you and your family coping? A few weeks ago, everything was flying high and then, as if from nowhere, the bottom fell out of the economy sending everything into a tailspin.

And now, just when the country was ready to get back to “normal”, the president announces that “Social Distancing” is required until April 30th . . . not what the nation hoped. Shelter-in-place orders around the country have thrown families together in ways they never anticipated.

Couples and families are now spending all day, every day together, weeks on end – it’s a situation made for tension, frayed nerves, and damaged relationships. The cold fingers of uncertainty and fear are reaching into homes and families around the world. Are they touching your marriage, too?

Have you seen the hash tag #CoronaDivorce? The pressure brought on by the Wuhan Flu, Corona Virus, Covid-19, the Chinese Flu – whatever you choose to call it – is too much for some and they’re calling it quits.

Difficult times don’t strengthen your marriage. They reveal the strength of the marriage you have. Are you growing closer in these increasingly challenging days or more edgy, snippy, and harsh? What is coming to the surface in your marriage as the pressure mounts?

The Enemy has an intended use of these troubled times in your marriage. He’s out for destruction. God has an intended use of trials, too! Have you thought about how to guard your marriage and grow closer as you “shelter-in-place” while the world falls apart?

Don’t let fear and the Enemy do their worst. On FAITHFUL LIFE podcast, we’re having a practical discussion about how your marriage can thrive in troubled times. We hope you join us for a positive, encouraging conversation!
