We talk a lot about the importance of dating your husband/wife after marriage but, dating before marriage . . . it’s minefield for just about everyone! From Josh Harris’s book, ‘I kissed dating goodbye’ to ‘anything goes on your first date’, it’s a pretty confusing, difficult world for a young Christian trying to navigate in a culture that cares nothing for biblical values.
Are you married with young children or teenagers? . . . single, or soon to be married? At some point in life, you are going to be faced with navigating romantic relationships or with teaching someone how they should go about it. What will you tell them? And, if it’s you, directly, what principles are you living by that guide your interaction when romantic interests are on the line? What should you look to when deciding the parameters of a dating relationship? What will you will teach others or what is the basis of your own behavior? What does the Bible have to say on the topic? Does the Bible provide any rules for dating?
This is our topic in this week’s episode of FAITHFUL LIFE podcast: Christian Kids Dating in a “Hook-up” Culture and, we have a special guest on the show today. It’s Cambria Jacobson, our 20 year old daughter who recently moved back to the West Coast from Virginia and has a career in Social Media management. We asked her a few pointed questions about this dating world that is a big part of her life and the lives of her Christian friends. Click the link and join the conversation!
