It’s the end of the day or the week and you’re coming together to connect. Is this the moment to “unload” on your husband/wife all that is wrong with your day? Sometimes the smallest adjustments can have the biggest positive impact.
I can remember coming into the room at the end of a day and everything was perfect – house in order, amazing aroma emanating from the kitchen, but I noticed something when the front door swung open. Did I notice all the good things? All the positive things? Ugh . . . not exactly! I noticed some socks under the couch across the room. “Hey, who left the socks under the couch?” Sad to say, I really said that . . . and in the process deflated my amazing, wonderful, loving wife.
