Whether you have kids now or will, every person knows that parents have a massively powerful affect on their children’s lives. You desire a great relationship with your kids, right? You desire a future of close friendship and relationship with them as they become adults. It’s vital to recognize that you are building that future even now, when they are young.
Parenting is one of the most important things you will ever do. And yet, many parents feel like failures, and every parent knows they have made mistakes. Lisa and I are no exception. We want to encourage you: Don’t look at your mistakes as the end but as the beginning of growth, maturity, and change.
The parenting path that leads to damaged relationships and damaged children is when we don’t change. Sometimes we’re busy, sometimes we are distracted, sometimes we just don’t want to change. But, remember, whatever you plant grows. The decisions you are making today are paving the road to the future you will have with your children.
