In beginning the Faithful Life Podcast journey (link to first episode, below!) Lisa and I thought it would be fun to share with you how we met (and how Lisa almost wrecked the whole thing! Okay, Lisa says it was my fault 🙂 ) and how you can think you understand the other person but get it all wrong!
Lisa and I do have a beautiful marriage but when we first met . . . well . . . let’s just say, it didn’t start out that way! We didn’t just get lucky and win “The Marriage Lottery”. The fact is that anyone who has the kind of marriage we do has had to grow and learn to say “no” to their own selfish impulses. When you learn to say, “I love you” rather than “I love me” in the countless everyday choices a husband and wife make every day, God smiles on your marriage. We’d like to invite you to join us on the Faithful Life Podcast where we talk about these things and a whole lot more.
After the introductory couple of episodes, we explore with you all that God has for us in marriage, parenting, Church, and culture. We hope you will be deeply encouraged as we look into the Bible together for God’s perspective on all the relationships that greatly matter, this side of heaven. What you’ll also find in the Faithful Life Podcast is a lot of practical instruction that has grown out of our experience over twenty-six years of marriage and eight children – ages 12 – 25.
